What we don't collect

EatTravelMap needs no sign-up or login. We don't collect your name, email, phone number or address.

Ratings and submissions

To prevent vote stuffing and spam, when you submit a rating, review or photo we store only irreversible device and IP hashes and the time of submission. Location data (EXIF) is removed from uploaded photos automatically.

Cookies and advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), or opt out of third-party vendors' cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure overall traffic, such as page views and referrers, to improve the site. We look at this data in aggregate and don't use it to identify individuals.

Partner links

When you click a booking or ticket link marked "Partner link", the partner (for example Agoda, Booking.com or Trip.com) may use cookies to record your booking so we can be paid a commission. Their privacy policies govern how they handle your data.

Data stored in your browser

Your compare list and the ratings you've given are kept only in your own browser (localStorage) and are never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
